The Hometown Christmas Cheer event in Argos is scheduled for Friday, November 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET at the Nickle Plate Square at 103 S. Michigan Street.
The tree lighting ceremony will be held with the traditional ribbons added by families to the tree, along with Christmas caroling, and activities including decorating cookies and ornaments.
Residents will also get a chance to string popcorn and cranberries inside the newly constructed depot.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive on the fire truck and will be ready to meet with children and take pictures that night.
The event is free thanks to Marshall County Tourism, Argos Public Library, Argos Friends of the Library, Argos Lions Club, Argos Leo’s, Elevate Argos, and the Town of Argos.
