Plymouth Fire Chief Discusses New Hires with Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety

Plymouth Fire Chief Steve Holm presented the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members an update on the hiring process and requested action on some positions.

He explained that he has two more positions to fill including a Civilian EMT and promote a part-time paramedic to a full-time paramedic.  The board members approved the request with a unanimous vote.  The new hires would begin their duties after January 1, 2023.

Beyond that, the previously hired EMTs/paramedics are doing good work, according to Holm.

Meanwhile, the board members approved a request to hold the Holy Procession Walk in honor of the Virgin Mary on December 11 hosted by St. Michaels Church.  The walk will begin at the Knights of Columbus and go down Berkley, Polk, Jefferson and Center Streets.  The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department will assist with traffic during the walk.
