Marshall County Council on Aging Executive Director Janis Jeffirs Holiday provided the commissioners with a quarterly report Monday morning.
She explained there were 6,762 trips, which is an increase this quarter.
“We had 31 denials for in-county rides and 78 for out-of county with a total of 49,084 miles,” relayed Holiday. “I also hired three new employees in the last month or two so we’re up to 20. That gives us a little breathing room, thank goodness, because our trips just keep going up and up.”
She added that in the first four days in November there were 518 trips.
She said she would be back before the commissioners yet this quarter to get a claim approved for an automated scheduling system.
