Argos School Board Approves Purchase of Cafeteria Equipment, Repairs on Baseball Dugouts

The Argos School Board members agreed to purchase a walk-in freezer for the cafeteria during their meeting last week.  Superintendent Ned Speicher said the low quote came from J&K HVAC for $56,116.  The walk-in freezer will be installed in the spring as cafeteria renovation and addition work continues.

Additionally, Speicher said the board approved a bid for new siding and new roofing on the Varsity baseball dugouts.  The low bid came from Mike Campbell Construction in the amount of $12,800.

Speicher also mentioned that several donations were accepted by the board for the Cultivate program.  The program offers free food to children in need for the weekend.  Three individual donors gave just over $3,200 toward Cultivate.  A fundraising effort also gathered $1,295 for the program.
