On Saturday, the Town of Argos came together at their newest addition to the downtown and to the town parks, the Nickel Plate Square.
Argos Town Council President Charles Randy Snead welcomed everyone for attending and thanked everyone involved that had a hand in the completion of the project.
Gerry White, from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs, was on hand to explain how the Stellar Program was created 14 years ago.
Jon VanDerWeele, President of the Elevate Argos and Marshall County Crossroads member, explained to the audience the path that Marshall County Crossroads took to being declared a Stellar Community. He also thanked community leaders and others that helped complete the downtown project.
The Economic Director for the Town of Argos Mark VanDerWeele informed the audience that the depot building located at the square will be used for events and other local activities.
After Snead cut the ribbon, the audience was entertained by Argos musician Mike Parrish and his band, Tonight Only!
