Marshall County Council to Meet Today

The Marshall County Council will meet today where they are expected to adopt the 2023 budget. 

The council will also look at the WIC Fiscal Year budget, and consider ordinances pertaining to the East Shore Conservancy budget and the Marshall County Solid Waste budget. 

A salary ordinance amendment will be discussed, and a job description is also expected to be amended.  An ordinance that would establish new county funds will be presented for approval.

Marshall-Starke Development Center Director Rick Thompson and Neighborhood Center Director Christine Garner will talk about items that the commissioners have approved for American Rescue Plan Act funding.  Those items must also meet council approval.   Marshall County Economic Development Corporation President and CEO Laura Walls will have a quarterly report. 

Additional appropriations and transfer requests will also be discussed. 

The Marshall County Council will meet at 9 a.m. ET in the second floor meeting room (Room 203) in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
