The Culver Town Council members recognized and thanked Denny Morrison Tuesday night for his 35 years of service to the Culver-Union Township Fire Department. Morrison recently retired from the fire department.
Following that announcement, Culver-Union Township Fire Chief Terry Wakefield told the council that one firefighter graduated Fire I and II Class. Three others who want to join the fire department will be entering the classes the first of November.
Additionally, Wakefield said they are planning an appreciation dinner for all past, retired and present firefighters on Saturday, November 12 at 5 p.m. ET at the Culver Cove. To attend, contact Walt Hanselman at 574-835-2352. Attendees are asked to bring photos and stories to share with everyone.
