The Bremen Town Council members appointed a new electric superintendent last week.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy recommended appointing Ben Wright as the electric superintendent. He has been serving in the interim position for several months. The council approved that recommendation with a unanimous vote.
Weldy also informed the council that during the recent Ambulance Board meeting, it was agreed that a five-year contract be drawn up with Tri-County Ambulance at a cost of $480,000 a year. Town Attorney Anthony Wagner is working to complete that paperwork.
In other news, the Bremen Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants this week. If residents experience discolored water, let it run from the faucet until it runs clear.
