The Marshall County Council members considered several grant requests when they met last week.

Marshall County Chief Probation Officer James Bendy asked to apply for a Judicial Services grant. The grant would pay for a person who manages Pre-Trial Services and another for Recovery Services, both part-time positions. The money would also be used to pay for public speakers. The grant would be in the amount of $60,000.
Marshall County Health Administrator Faith Freed asked to apply for the Local Health Trust Account grant that supports the salaries of the health educator and emergency preparedness coordinator and a portion of Social Security at $20,976.70. The council members unanimously approved the requests as presented.
