Now that many of the goals of a facility plan created a few years ago have been completed, John Glenn School Corporation Superintendent Christopher Winchell told the school board Tuesday night that it is time to set goals toward a new multi-year facility plan.

“We’re about three years done and starting year four of a five-year plan,” said Winchell.  “Part of our work is going to be to reset what that next three-to-five year plan looks like.  That will include working on some bonds, that will include working on some more building projects, and there will be more information to come in that area.

He did mention that one item that will be coming to the board soon is a weight room equipment update at the high school.  Winchell believed that equipment was last updated in 2005.  Even though some equipment purchased has been under what is required for board approval, a bigger request will come before the board for approval over $25,000 to get more equipment updated.

The older equipment will be moved to Urey Middle School to assist with a potential weight training program for those students.

More information about that will be coming to the board in future meetings.
