Culver Town Manager Discusses Proposed Parking Ordinance Changes

Culver Town Manager Ginny Bess Munroe updated the town council on proposed upcoming changes to the town’s parking ordinance during their recent meeting.

Munroe and Utility Superintendent Bob Porter recently drove all of the streets of Culver to determine possible changes to the parking ordinance.

One change that was done recently was allowing Culver Community School Corporation to restrict parking on Lakeshore Drive due to drop-off times.  Now, the school would like to repeal that change.  An amendment will be presented to take that out of the ordinance.

Additionally, a one-way street is being considered in the West Shore Drive area by the Chadwick condominiums.  Munroe said more research will go into that to determine which roads are actually owned by the town and which roads are owned by the county in that area.

Munroe said more information will be gathered about those topics before presenting the amended ordinance for council readings in a public meeting.
