The Culver Town Council members learned this week that a notice for bid advertisement will be published to demolish a property in town.
Town Council President Bill Githens explained that the Unsafe Building Board will advertise for bids for the demolition of 709 Obispo and the bids will be opened during the Tuesday, September 27 meeting of the Unsafe Building Board.
Depending on the nature of the bids, one will be accepted with money to be appropriated to pay the contractor.
Githens noted that the dates are subject to change if there is pending litigation.
The property at 709 Obispo has been under code enforcement for some time with no progress in repairing issues.
