The open application period for the officer position at the Bremen Police Department has ended.
Bremen Police Chief Brad Kile told the Bremen Town Council members last week that there were 10 applications received for the open position. Kile said the physical agility test is scheduled for September 8 and the hiring process will continue from there.
He said he hopes that a candidate will be available to be presented to the council for formal approval in an upcoming meeting.
In other business, Fire Chief Matt Neher said the new command vehicle has arrived while equipment to outfit it is back ordered.
