The Bremen Town Council members were updated on the town’s trash service during their last meeting.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy told the council that Republic Services has not provided the best service. Several areas in town are often missed and sometimes on multiple occasions and residents have complained to Town Hall about the service.
Weldy commented that he had a meeting with Republic Services along with Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter to discuss the overall service of the company. The company was given until October 1 to clear up issues or else the contract would be terminated.
As of the town council meeting July 11, Weldy said some changes were made within the company and the service has improved, but the benchmark of October 1 will remain intact.
The Town of Bourbon has also had complaints about the service.
