Bremen Police Department to Hire New Officer

Bremen Police Chief Brad Kile told the Bremen Town Council members that the Police Commission members will start the hiring process for a new officer after Officer John Tice submitted his resignation.

Kile said Tice is a six-year veteran of the Police Department.

“He’s going to stick around here until the end of August,” said Chief Kile. “He was in charge of our reserves, all of our firearms, and he was the training coordinator. He did a lot for us.”

Tice just completed facilitating a civilian firearms training course this past weekend.  A course for later this fall has been canceled.

The application process is underway to find his replacement.  Applications can be picked up at the Bremen Police Department at 123 Center Street, or call 574-546-3456 to receive an application by email.  The application deadline is Friday, August 12 at noon ET.

Meanwhile, the Police Department will welcome a newlyhired officer in early August. The Bremen Town Council approved the hire of Aaron Yeargin who will be coming to Bremen from the Argos Police Department.
