Triton School Board Approves Memorandum of Understanding, Textbook Fees

The Triton School Board members approved a Memorandum of Understanding that concerns a change in retirement language, according to Superintendent Jeremy Riffle.

Riffle stated, “In our Collective Bargaining Agreement, it said we could not pay retired teachers more than $45,000, or provide them insurance. We just felt that was out-of-date language and the fact is we are getting ready to hire a retired counselor as a counselor at the Elementary School. It really freed us up to be able to hire that individual.”

Additionally, the school board approved the textbook fees for the upcoming school year for the Elementary School.  Those figures can be found below.
