Culver School Board Approves Bid for Painting, Gym Floor Projects, Meeting Tonight

The Culver Community School Board members approved bids for painting and gym floor work during their last meeting.

Superintendent Karen Shuman said the outside of the Elementary School will be repainted which will feature a different pattern.  The interior of the office and some classrooms at the Elementary School, as well as the Middle School gym will also be painted.  The board approved the bid from Premier Painting for $14,000 for the Elementary School and $27,000 for the Middle School gym.

The gym floor refinishing project at the Elementary School will be done by Mr. Clean at a cost of $2,000. The floor at the Middle School will be refinished for $6,000, and $2,500 at the High School. The costs include material and labor.  

The Culver Community School Board members will meet tonight where they will consider the approval of school lunch prices and book fees for the Elementary School.  Director raises will also be discussed, along with contracts for the administrators, Business Manager/Treasurer, Technology Director, School Psychologist, and AdTec.

Shuman will also have an update for the board.
