Argos Community School Board Discusses Upcoming Projects

The Argos Community School Board adopted a resolution this week that would pledge federal grant dollars toward the upcoming projects.

Superintendent Ned Speicher said the resolution allows the school to use ESSER funds to help pay for construction projects.

The school board also approved a contract for the upcoming cafeteria project.

“We approved the construction contract with Yoder Construction Company. It’s an addition and remodeling of our cafeteria,” said Speicher.

Speicher noted that the project is expected to start in July.  When it is done this fall, the existing cafeteria will be connected to the addition.  Some remodeling work will begin following the construction of the addition.

Other projects include the replacement of rooftop HVAC units that serve the cafeteria and gymnasium, some carpeting and replacing lockers.

Meanwhile, the playground project was recently finished along with new paint on gym two.
