The Plymouth Community School Board members approved a bid Tuesday night for upcoming solar projects.
Superintendent Mitch Mawhorter said the bid from Solar Energy Systems was chosen for projects at Washington Discovery Academy and Riverside Intermediate School.
“The bid that they proposed was $1.3 million, but they’re still doing some value engineering to reduce that number,” commented Mawhorter. “There’s some work that they are doing with Telemon that they think they could give us an even better deal.”
The company was the lowest bidder.
Mawhorter said the project should begin this summer.
