Officers at the Bourbon Police Department are urging residents and business owners to be aware of prop money being distributed around the area.
Bourbon police posted a Facebook message this week concerning the discovery of prop money. Two $100 bills were spent at local businesses and both incidents have been resolved.
The bills that were found have “COPY” written in blue ink on the front side of the bill near the bottom left. The words “FOR MOTION PICTURE USE ONLY” are also written on the front. On the back of the bill, “IN PROPS WE TRUST” is printed.
Passing false money is a Level 6 Felony if a suspect is found guilty of the charge.
Call local law enforcement if any more of this fake currency is distributed in the area.
