Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for New Plymouth Molding Group Manufacturing Facility

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Thursday morning to give way to the construction of a new manufacturing facility that will house Plymouth Molding Group.

Plymouth Molding Group is an injection molding plastic manufacturer that produces items for several industries including RV, construction and agriculture.   According to PMG President Mike Lee, the company will be making a $600,000 capital investment to increase production to meet demand.

Plymouth Industrial Development Corporation (PIDCO) is working with the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation, the City of Plymouth and Marshall County in constructing this $2.5 million facility.  A build lease agreement will assist Plymouth Molding Group officials in finding the expansion space needed for its growing operation.

The building at 2925 Commerce Street will be built to 40,000 square feet, expandable to 80,000 square feet.

Plymouth Molding Group currently employs 18 full-time employees with another 8 expected to be hired when the new facility opens.
