The Bremen Town Council members are continuing down a path to condemn a property with a plan to demolish the home.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy told MAX News that the property at 422 E. Maple Street had been in foreclosure, and the town was in the process of obtaining it for the purpose of demolition, but an out-of-state resident purchased the property with the intentions of rehabilitating the structure with future plans to sell it.
Letters from the Marshall County Health Department recommend condemnation and demolition, and Weldy said the town will continue in that pursuit.
The town eventually hopes to make an additional parking area there for Sunnyside Park visitors.
