A traffic stop on Friday, March 4 resulted in the arrest of a Plymouth man on suspected possession of drugs.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, the traffic stop occurred in the area of South Michigan Street and Jackson Heights Road at approximately 4 p.m. ET. During the traffic stop, K9 Diesel was deployed and reportedly alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and allegedly found suspected cocaine.
The driver, 29-year-old Sergio Perez of Plymouth, was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of cocaine or narcotic drug. He has since bonded out of the Marshall County Jail.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by officers from the Plymouth Police Department.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty in a court of law.
