The Marshall County Election Board members reviewed a Vote Center Plan resolution for approval Monday morning.

The plan recognizes that the number of voting machines would be six at every Vote Center, except for Tippecanoe which would only have four.  That change needs to be reflected in the resolution and the Marshall County Vote Center plan will be sent to the Indiana Election Division and placed on the Indiana Secretary of State’s website.

Board President Sean Surrisi stated that they reduced the number of voting machines at each Vote Center as a reflection of a potential reduced number of voters at the polls.  However, if there is a need to increase the number of machines at a site, or if there are technical issues with machines in use on Election Day, there will be machines available that will be programmed and ready.

It was also noted that there will be an inspector, two judges, two clerks, and two assistants at each Vote Center.

The list of Vote Centers includes the Matchett Center in Bourbon, Life Enrichment Center, Marshall County Community Center (now known as Gallery on West) in Argos, Knights of Columbus in Plymouth, Tyner Community Building, Marshall County REMC, Tippecanoe Community Building, Bremen High School, LaPaz Fire Station, Culver Administration Building, Bremen Pines, and Pretty Lake Church Hall.

The board passed the resolution with a unanimous vote.
