The Culver Town Council members agreed to purchase a chassis, bed, plow blade, and salt spreader in order to replace a plow truck that went down before the last snow storm.
Clerk-Treasurer Karen Heim said a larger pick-up chassis with all of the needed equipment was approved at a cost of nearly $95,000.
In other news, the council will be reviewing an updated pier installation and removal contract soon, and the Broadband Committee is working on a Request for Proposals to work toward providing high-speed internet to the residents and business owners of Culver.
The council members are also working with the Michiana Area Council of Governments to work on a comprehensive plan, however lot of the work will be in-house.
