The Bremen Town Council members are taking the necessary steps to acquire a home on Maple Street in order to demolish it.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said that the home at 422 Maple Street has been in foreclosure for about 10 years and it recently became available for sale. The town is getting appraisals to go through the purchasing process.
Weldy said if the town is able to complete the sale, they will tear down the building and create parking for nearby Sunnyside Park.
