Bremen Residents Encouraged to Take Income Survey

Bremen residents who have received an income survey are encouraged to return those in order to fulfill certain grant requirements for the upcoming Regional Stellar Communities Designation Initiative projects.

Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy told the Bremen Town Council members recently that 160 surveys need to be returned to meet the guidelines.  If the goal is not reached soon, there will be workers going to homes in Bremen asking residents to fill out the quick three-question survey.  The identity of the resident is confidential.

Bremen’s next Stellar project is the Jackson Street project.  According to plan designs by The Troyer Group, the project includes a reconstruction of Jackson Street just south of Plymouth Street where an entry sign will welcome visitors into an area with a large event center, a one-way flex street, concert stage, and swinging benches.  The area will also feature an open lawn area, landscape area around the existing Standpipe and gazebo, and a crushed limestone plaza with seating and string lighting.

The flex street project is funded through the Office of Community and Rural Affairs through the Marshall County Crossroads Regional Stellar Communities Initiative.

The project is expected to start in 2023.
