Marshall County Government Offices Closed Thursday, Commissioners Implement Disaster Emergency Declaration

* The Disaster Emergency Declaration takes effect Wednesday, February 2 at 8 p.m. ET *

The Marshall County government offices will be closed Thursday including the Marshall County Building, Marshall County Courthouse, county departments located in the Community Resource Center, and the Marshall County Museum.

Additionally, the Marshall County Commissioners have implemented a Disaster Emergency Declaration due to heavy snowfall, strong winds, and widespread drifting of roads and agree that an emergency exists in the county.

Marshall County is under a Warning Level travel advisory which means travel is restricted to emergency vehicles only.  No travel is permitted on Marshall County roads until the Order is rescinded.  Members of the Marshall County community are asked to comply with necessary emergency measures, to cooperate with public officials and disaster services forces in executing emergency operations plans, and to obey and comply with the lawful directions of properly identified officers.

Street crews in the county and in all Marshall County municipalities have been working hard to improve road conditions.  The Bourbon Town Council members and public works personnel are available to assist emergency response agencies if they need help getting to calls.
