Governor Eric Holcomb Extends Executive Orders

Governor Eric Holcomb signed Executive Orders this week that officially continues the public health emergency and provisions that address the impact of COVID-19 for the 23rd time.

The current extension will expire March 4, but it could be extended again before its expiration.

The order allows the licensing of health care workers and students who have been granted a temporary license to be extended until March 31.  Registration requirements as well as insurance coverage for certain Indiana or out-of-state health care providers remain in effect.

The Family and Social Services Administration’s implementation of the Indiana Medicaid, HIP, CHIP, and Medworks programs will continue.

The Executive Order also maintains a standing order for COVID-19 vaccinations for children under the age of 11, and COVID-19 control measures for institutions and congregate care facilities.

Fully vaccinated individuals who are close contacts of  a person who tests positive with COVID-19 may continue their normal activities, but must wear a mask at all times in public for 10 days and are encouraged to obtain a COVID-19 test five days after exposure.  Unvaccinated individuals who are close contacts of a COVID-19 infected person shall quarantine, if required, according to Indiana Department of Health guidelines and shall follow any other guidelines.
