The Bremen Town Council members opened bids Monday afternoon from four companies for the town’s Community Crossings project.
The Town of Bremen received about $382,000 in grant funds through INDOT’s Community Crossings programs for the resurfacing of Woodies Lane from Plymouth Street to 3rd Road. The town will provide match money toward this project.
Milestone Contractors North, Inc. out of South Bend bid about $449,000; Rieth-Riley Construction Company out of South Bend bid just under $572,000; E&B Paving out of Rochester bid $376,000; and Niblock Excavating in Bristol bid about $438,000.
The town council members agreed to take the bids under advisement. Street Superintendent Austin Langdon will come back with a recommendation of a bid for the council to approve during their next meeting.
