The Marshall County Commissioners reorganized when they met Tuesday morning. Kevin Overmyer was retained as Commission President while Michael Burroughs was appointed as Vice President of the Board of Commissioners.
The commissioners also voted to retain all current department heads who include Courthouse Buildings and Grounds Supervisor Doug Masterson, Jail Buildings and Grounds Supervisor John Greer, Building Commissioner Steve Howard, Museum Director Linda Rippy, Weights and Measures Inspector Jerry Huss, Highway Superintendent Jason Peters, Veterans Service Officer Pam Schweizer-Betz, EMA Director Clyde Avery, IT Director Michael Marshall, Human Resources Administrator Ann Anglin, and County Attorney James Clevenger.
Maria Horvath was appointed to the Argos Public Library for a four-year term, Mary Banfield to the Culver-Union Township Public Library Board; Ray Trump to the Argos Plan Commission; Jan Fisher to the Alcoholic Beverage Commission; Matthew Miller, Dr. Thomas Pedavoli and Tracy Fox to the Board of Health for four-year terms; Kevin Overmyer to MACOG; Linda Rippy to the Convention Visitors Bureau for a two-year term; Sheriff Matt Hassel, Rhonda Ferguson and Sharon Dotta for the Sick Bank Board; Stan Klotz to the Safety Committee for a two-year term; Kevin Overmyer to the Central Dispatch Committee; Michael Burroughs and Kathy Schwenk to the Unsafe Building Committee; and Richard Markley to the Marshall County Parks and Recreation Board for a four-year term.
The commissioners also approved a motion to reinstate the technology committee to be made up of the auditor, treasurer, recorder, assessor, courts representative, a commissioner, IT Director, Diane Hoover, and a council member. They decided to appoint Michael Burroughs as the commissioner representative and the council member will be decided in an upcoming meeting.
