The lift station project in the Town of Bourbon is slightly behind schedule.
Despite the news that it is five weeks behind its projected completion date, the Bourbon Town Council members learned that the project is under budget by just under $41,500.
As part of the project, the south lift station pumps will be replaced and the east lift station will be abandoned for the installation of a wet well with new pumps and controls. The second phase of the sewer project involves slip lining sewer pipes to extend the life of the infrastructure, but that part of the work is complete.
The capacity improvements will enable Bourbon to expand the system capacity, greatly increasing Bourbon’s ability to attract new housing and business for years to come.
Haskins Underground is the contractor of the million dollar lift station project.
This project is made possible by a Stellar Communities grant to Marshall County Crossroads by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.
