Plymouth Community School Board Members Look at Raises for Classified Staff

Members of the Plymouth Community School Board considered raises for the Classified staff during their meeting last week.

Superintendent Mitch Mawhorter said those staff members are important to the daily operations at the school corporation.

“What we were trying to do there was to raise the minimum wages of most of our jobs and also give the staff a raise based on years of service and their evaluation,” stated Mawhorter.  “We feel like we’ve done a pretty good job just like we did with the teachers about honoring what they do.”

The proposed amount of raises varied throughout the system.

The school board approved the raises with a unanimous vote.
