Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer Set to Retire at End of 2021

Jeanine Xaver is retiring as the Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer at the end of 2021.

A caucus to find her replacement is set for Wednesday, December 29 at 5:30 p.m. ET at the Marshall County Republican Headquarters at 117 Water Street in Plymouth.  Republican Precinct representatives of Center Township will be voting on the candidate to take over from Xaver. 

Interested candidates should file a Declaration of Candidacy no later than 72 hours in advance of the meeting.  The declarations are to be given to Marshall County Republican Party Chairman David R. Holmes at 116 W. Plymouth Street in Bremen. 

Xaver has worked as a city employee since 1987 serving as a deputy treasurer.  She was sworn into office in 2014 as clerk-treasurer.  Xaver has been designated as Indiana Accredited Municipal Clerk, and named Certified Municipal Clerk by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.  In 2021, Xaver earned the Advanced Public Funds Investment Manager certification from the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada.  In a provided statement, she said she “…enjoyed serving the citizens of the city of Plymouth…”.
