The Culver Beach Lodge is experiencing a water issue that will soon be remedied.
Excessive water is entering the basement of the Beach Lodge and into the new elevator shaft constructed on the north side of the building where there as part of a remodeling project that was completed in 2020. The project attempted to address the drainage problems, but the remedy did not alleviate the issue.
The Culver Town Council members approved a contract with Thomas Excavating Tuesday night that includes the installation of drain piping and drain tiles to direct water away from the building, cut down on backfill on the north side of the building.
The total project cost is estimated at $16,327.
