Crews continue to construct the Downtown Square in Argos.
The installation of drywall in the train depot building is nearly complete and the windows will be put into place in January. Most of the rest of the project will be done in the spring which includes a lot of outdoor features.
The project includes a train depot building, an elevated performance stage, a plaza, farmers market space, flex use lawn space, lounge chairs, 17 additional parking spaces, and 10 foot sidewalks.
Indiana Earth, Inc. was chosen by the Argos Town Council members to work on the project at a base bid cost of $998,418.
The Downtown Square project is one of three Marshall County Crossroads Regional Stellar Community Initiative projects. The other projects in the Town of Argos include upgrades to Foker Park, sidewalks, and a trail project.
