The Marshall County Council members reviewed several additional appropriations during their meeting last week.
There was request from Superior Court No. 1 for an additional appropriation of $8,000 to pay jurors through the end of 2021. Superior Court No. 2 asked for $15,000 for public defender fees and the payment of invoices for mental health evaluations. The Veterans Service Officer asked for $2,000 for overtime. The building commissioner asked for $700 to cover the cost of fuel through the end 2021, and the highway department asked to re-appropriate $50,671 of the sale of equipment to help pay for new equipment. The highway department also asked to re-appropriate fuel charges and buggy revenues.
A reduction of appropriations was requested by Superior Court No. 2 in the amount of $12,371 to account for the reduction of one clerk who went to work in Superior Court No. 3.
All appropriation requests were approved with a unanimous vote.
