The Bikes for Kids organization in Plymouth is looking to assist children in need with a free bike and helmet next year.
Bikes For Kids, Inc. is a non-profit organization, that helps kids ride into a “happier, healthier childhood by providing bikes to those most in need”. Volunteers collect and refurbish bikes and give them to children Easter weekend.
Organization officials say the last event was able to provide bicycles to 242 deserving children.
In 2022, the goal is to provide more than 300 children with a bike and helmet on Easter weekend. Donors may sponsor a child, donate a gently used bike, make a cash donation, get involved, or help get the word out for assistance.
