Construction on the second phase of the Lake Max Trail in Culver is underway.
The second phase of the Lake Max Trail includes a one-mile extension of the trail from the Culver Park to Washington Street, Plymouth Street and South Main Street.
Culver Town Manager Ginny Bess Munroe gave an update to the town council members Tuesday night.
Munroe commented, “There’s activity out here on Washington Street and just a reminder that’s going to be a one-way. They’ve already put in the signage for that. On Lakeview, you’ll still be able to park on both sides of the street and drive up-and-down, but when you come down to Washington, you can only take a right. You can’t take a left.
The design of the trail has undergone several amendments to accommodate residents along the route who had concerns about the size of the trail through their properties, mostly along Plymouth Street. The amendments also addressed drainage issues in some areas.
