The Plymouth City Council members opened a public hearing Monday night to address several advertised additional appropriations.
Clerk-Treasurer Jeanine Xaver explained that an additional appropriation of $20,000 was receipted into the Park Non-Reverting Operating Fund for expenses for events at the park. More fuel sales at the Plymouth Municipal Airport has resulted in the need for an additional appropriation of $100,000 into the Aviation Rotary supplies line item to purchase more fuel than what was appropriated.
Grant funds received in 2021 needed to be appropriated into the budget as they were not previously approved in the 2021 budget. They include the FEMA Grant Fund, River Park Square Phase 2, Hoosier Old Wheels Grant, Hoham Drive Grant, Airport Improvement Grants, and REES Theater Grant.
Three appropriations were also included for TIF Bonds. The total in TIF #5 was $120,000, while the TIF #7 total was $190,000, and the TIF Principal and Interest Fund was $260,000.
City Attorney Sean Surrisi said a $5,000 additional appropriation to go toward administrative costs for the Marshall County Crossroads Regional Stellar Communities Initiative did not make it into the advertisement, but he will work with Xaver to find funds to cover that cost or present an appropriation at a later time.
No other public comments were made during the hearing.
A resolution that allows the additional appropriations to be made was later unanimously approved by the council members.
