Plymouth City Council Considers Resolution to Designate Area as Economic Revitalization Area

The Plymouth City Council members reviewed a resolution last week that would designate certain real estate as an Economic Revitalization Area.

The request is for B&D Holdings, LLC, doing business as Complexus Medical.  Marshall County Economic Development Corporation President and CEO Laura Walls discussed the request with the council.

“They are a medical device precision machinery facility – they make equipment that is used in hip and knee replacements,” said Walls.  “They have purchased the building and property also known as the former 3M facility.”

Improvements are anticipated to be made at that property as well as an increase in the workforce.

The council approved the resolution with a unanimous vote.

The process will continue with a request for a real and personal property tax abatement request at the council’s next meeting.
