The Marshall County Council members reviewed additional appropriation requests for the Highway Department to complete the 2021 road program this fall.
Highway Superintendent Jason Peters presented information in over $980,000 in additional appropriation requests Monday morning. It helps fund the remainder of the 2021 road program, and it puts $500,000 back in the Motor Vehicle Highway funds that went toward additional paving projects.
The council approved the additional appropriation requests as presented.
Peters added that road work is going to continue weather permitting. All chip sealing, paving and other road work totals 120.7 miles so far this year at a cost of about $4.75 million, which includes Community Crossings funding, match money, and in-house work, including materials.
