John Glenn School Board Holds Public Hearing on 2022 Budget, Bus Replacement Plan, Capital Projects Plan

The John Glenn School Board opened a public hearing last week to take comments on the proposed 2022 budget, Bus Replacement Plan and Capital Projects Plan.

According to the Notice to Taxpayers on Indiana’s Gateway website, the Rainy Day Fund was published at $300,000, the Debt Service Fund is about $2.2 million, School Pension Fund at about $100,000, Education Fund at nearly $13 million, and an Operations Fund at about $5.2 million.  The entire budget estimate for 2022 is $20,875,821. 

The Bus Replacement Plan shows the purchase of three new buses in 2022-2025 with two replacement purchases in 2026 in the proposal.   The Capital Projects Plan shows facility and equipment updates. 

There were no public comments on the proposed budget.

The John Glenn School Board will adopt the budget Tuesday, October 19 at 7 p.m. ET in the Walkerton Elementary School Cafeteria.
