The Marshall County Council members will meet this morning where they will hold a public hearing on the proposed 2022 budget.
Prior to the budget hearing, Marshall County Health Administrator Faith Chapman will ask the council to apply for two grants. Sheriff Matt Hassel will discuss hours for the cook and Marshall County Superior Court III Judge Matt Sarber will talk about the clerk position in his office.
The council members will review a job description for Superior Court III, and salaries for Superior Courts II and III, the Marshall County Highway Department, Central Dispatch, Jail, and Probation Department.
The Capital Improvement Plan for Bourbon Township will also be considered.
The council will then go through the various department line items in the budget for potential adjustments. In addition to the county’s budget, they will also look at budgets for the Marshall County Solid Waste, the Convention and Visitors Bureau, East Shore Conservancy District, and the Bremen Public Library.
The Marshall County Council will meet at 9 a.m. ET today in the second floor meeting room (Room 203) in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
