The Marshall County Commissioners reviewed a resolution last week that would allow for the purchase of a 2021 MowerMax base unit demo model and a new wheel loader for the Marshall County Highway Department.
The resolution would allow the county to enter into an equipment lease agreement with Republic First National Corporation for the two pieces of equipment.
The 938M CAT loader would be $248,500 without trade which is the lowest price through Sourcewell. It would be delivered in mid-October. The MowerMax brush mower would be $193,350 which would be received this month. The highway department would pay $73,350 to keep the three annual payments at $128,656.58 with a 2.65 percent interest rate. The payments would be made out of the Cumulative Capital Development Fund.
The commissioners approved the resolution with a unanimous vote.
