The Marshall County Commissioners have been reviewing a contract with S&M Services for mowing services.
Highway Superintendent Jason Peters said the contract would be for five years. He used the service this year and he is happy with the work done by the company. The company would complete four mowing passes in a year in the county’s right-of-ways. A fifth pass could be authorized, depending on conditions and the price would be the same as the other four passes.
Both entities can opt out at any time with a 90-day notice. The contract is for $79,500 annually for the next five years.
The commissioners approved the contract with a unanimous vote.
