Twenty-Five New COVID-19 Cases Reported Locally

More people locally are being diagnosed with COVID-19.  In Thursday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health, 11 more people in Marshall County tested positive with COVID-19, along with nine more people in Starke County and five more people in Pulaski County.  They are among 1,899 newly diagnosed people in the state.

 Another six Hoosiers have died of COVID-19 in the last few days. 

The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 has been in the upper 900s this week which is 200 more patients than last week.

The seven-day all-tests positivity rate is now at 8.2 percent while the seven-day positivity rate for unique individuals is 16 percent. 

Over 5.9 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to eligible Hoosiers aged 12 and older.  Over 2.9 million people in the state are fully vaccinated. The COVID-19 vaccine is free.  To find the nearest vaccination site, visit www.ourshot.in.gov or call 211.
