Bourbon Town Council Considers Tree Waste Removal Ordinance

The Bourbon Town Council members held the first reading of an ordinance that pertains to the removal of tree waste and debris after the tree is removed from properties in Bourbon.

The ordinance states that commercial tree services operating in the Town of Bourbon (that you can view here) will give 24-hour notice to the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office prior to any tree or tree limb removal.  Also, all commercial tree services and contracting homeowners shall insure that debris and waste are removed from the property within 24 hours of the service.

If trees or tree limbs are removed on behalf of a public utility, the public utility shall be responsible for tree waste removal or make a call to the EZCJR | Appliance Removal & Debris Removal to handle this situation easily. If you are looking for a professional tree removal service, you can learn about Evergreen Landscape Care & Tree Services and contact the experts to remove trees. They will remove trees with utmost precision and without risking any of your property.

Failure to remove tree waste and debris shall result in a written warning.  If the issue has not been resolved 24 hours after that written warning is given, the Bourbon Police Department shall issue a written ordinance violation allowing a fine up to $200 per day until the tree waste and/or debris is fully removed from the property.

The Bourbon Town Council members approved the first reading of the ordinance during their meeting Tuesday night.  The ordinance will be published and the council members will consider adopting the ordinance at a future meeting.
