Four New Cases of COVID-19 Reported in Marshall County

There were four new cases of COVID-19 reported in Marshall County in Tuesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.  They were among 153 newly reported cases in the state.  Starke County and Pulaski County did not have any new cases in Tuesday’s report. 

There were six additional COVID-19 deaths in the state from July 1 to July 4. 

Over 400 people are hospitalized with COVID-19 symptoms in hospitals around the state.

The Indiana Department of Health has recorded a total of 5,186 variant cases.  The Alpha variant is the most common variant found in the state. 

The COVID-19 vaccine is available to residents age 12 and older.  To find the closest vaccination site, visit www.ourshot.in.gov or call 211.  Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted at most sites.

More than 5.6 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Indiana with over 2.8 million residents who are fully vaccinated.  Nearly 41 percent of the population is fully vaccinated in Marshall County and in Pulaski County, while nearly 32 percent of the population in Starke County is fully vaccinated.
