The annual Art in the Street Festival returns to downtown Plymouth Saturday, July 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET.
The event sponsored by the Heartland Artists Gallery is free and open to the public. It features artists and artisans from surrounding areas who will be selling their work. There will be acrylic, oil, pastel, and watercolor paintings, as well as mixed media, pottery, stained glass, handmade jewelry and more.
There will be interactive events with visitors with caricatures drawn by a professional artist, or by throwing a pot on the potter’s wheel. Kids can also get their face painted, paint rocks, and participate in an art scavenger hunt or recycled art activities. Handmade musical instruments with the Wild Rose Moon and the Heartland Artists will give kids a look into another branch of the arts.
Dance performances will take place, along with plenty of foods and refreshments.
In addition to this outdoor event, the gallery will be open at 101 N. Michigan Street to view art on display, including August’s featured artist, Mona Witt.
